We are usually a working vineyard, cellar door and gallery but this property has unique facilities and large garden suitable for DIY functions.
Magpie Springs is a rustic unusual farm, very close to McLaren Vale in the Adelaide Hills Wine Region. The property has some of the oldest vines in the Southern Adelaide Hills. Our vineyard, homestead, art gallery and cellar door in the centre of the Fleurieu Peninsula is nestled back from B34, the main road from Hahndorf to Willunga Hill. We are half way from Adelaide to Victor Harbor. Our vines, organically grown since 2013 have been under a restoration process and are now producing premium fruit. 5 different winemakers purchase our fruit. We have our own brand, but our wines are very boutique only sold onsite. We grow Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Shiraz. An art gallery and cellar door onsite near the homestead.
The garden is surrounded by vines. Its well established with large shady trees, and a rambling cottage feel with a view to a large dam. Many couples have chosen our garden in which to get married. The weddings are always completely unique and personal. Theres plenty of room for marquees.
This property has various sites which you can plan every occasion you wish to think of from ceremonies, weddings, naming days, birthdays to corporate functions. Any celebration with a country garden feel!
We are not function planners. We are providing the venue, (we expect our boutique wines and newly roasted coffee to be included on the day) and we can give you a full list of professional people who can help you make the day special for any occasion. Caterers, musicians, celebrants, hire companies etc. If you need a function planner, we can suggest those too, it is a guide.
